Carotid self-expanding stent manufactured by the Balton Company are made of nitinol alloy.
The outline of the stents was obtained by means of laser work. A stent is placed at the end of the rapid exchange 0.014” delivery system. After being released from the delivery system, the stent opens up, taking the form of a cylinder. Thanks to its properties, it restores the desirable shape of the lumen of the vessel.
The stent is placed between two markers on the distal end of the delivery system.
The carotid self-expanding stent MER with delivery system RX is intended for dilating atherosclerotic lesions in carotid arteries in cases recommended in the most recent professional guidelines.
